Payment Methods

We currently offer two methods of payment:

  • online by credit card and check via PayPal (PayPal account NOT required)
  • by mail with your personal check (US$ only) or US Postal Service Money Orders

ONLINE
PayPal is our credit card gateway. You DO NOT need to have a PayPal account to pay for your purchases using PayPal. Simply click the "Checkout" button (not the PayPal button) when done shopping to go to your cart, choose your method of payment, then click the PayPal button if shown. Look for the link to "continue" without opening an account.

If you have or want to open a PayPal account then click the Paypal checkout button and follow the instructions.

When paying through PayPal, with or without a PayPal account, your credit card and payment information is secure as we never see your account number, just the amount of your payment.

MAIL
Payments by personal check usually take 7 to 10 business days to clear (longer for international checks) after we receive and deposit them. Checks presented with insufficient funds will incur a $35.00 fee from BarkinWoofer.


Personal checks or USPS money orders not in US dollars will not be accepted.

 

Shipping Policy

We currently ship via US Postal Service (USPS) and United Parcel Service (UPS). Federal Express (FedEx) may also be available. Shipping estimates can be calculated after placing an item in your cart (please clear your cart if you decide not to buy).

Many
products ship from our warehouse within 24 - 48 hours. Products that ship direct from the designer/manufacturer will vary, for example:

  • most dog beds and dog tags (usually 2-5 days)
  • handwoven Mayan belts (usually 2 -5 days)
  • personalized dog bowls and treat jars (usually 2-3 weeks)
  • certain collars and leads (usually 2-10 days)
  • most dog clothing and costumes (usually 2-5 days)

If your order contains multiple products from different manufacturers, your order may ship in multiple parcels. These packages may arrive on different days. These items will usually be noted in the product listing.


Oversize items may require additional shipping and handling fees. You will be notified of any additional charges prior to being charged.

Most shipping fees for items shipping from our warehouse are calculated based on package weight and shipping distance.

Purchases shipped directly from the designer/manufacturer may use a different shipping method and/or shipping rate than noted in the listing, at their discretion. Our shipping charges for these purchases are based on information supplied by the designer/manufacturer. BarkinWoofer does not add additional shipping/handling fees.

A note about USPS Priority Flat Rate Boxes and Envelopes: Due to the specific sizes of these boxes and envelopes, our shipping calculator is unable to determine if your item or items will fit in one of these packages. So if you choose Priority Mail as a shipping option the fee will be calculated at regular Priority Mail rates. We will always check to see if your Priority Mail items will ship in a flat rate box at a lower rate than was calculated and if so we will refund the difference. For example, the small flat rate box may hold several small, fairly flat items (collars, leads, small plush bone toy) but not a ball shaped toy (Planet Dog Raspberry or golf ball).

UPS  and FedEx cannot ship to PO Boxes. It is your responsibility to provide us with an address that can accept these deliveries. Assure that someone is at the delivery address to accept and sign for the package when it arrives, or request a "no signature" delivery. Shipments of $50 or more will require a signature. BarkinWoofer is not responsible if the package is left at the door and stolen. If you receive frequent deliveries consider a rental mailbox from a UPS Store or other similar establishment. They can usually accept deliveries of any size from any major shipping service and sign for them, too.

If we are unable to successfully deliver your package(s) due to customer refusal, customer negligence, or incomplete shipping information and your package is returned to us we will attempt to contact you via phone and/or email if provided. If we do not get a response within ten (10) days, you will be charged a 30% restocking fee in addition to being charged the appropriate shipping charges. All orders that require re-shipping at the request of the customer, will be charged for additional shipping.

 

Customs and Import Fees - International Shipping

We ship internationally to Canada, countries of the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan and a few other countries. All Customs, import and other fees for international shipments are the responsibility of the buyer.


To determine if we ship to your country, place an item in your cart, go to the cart,  and then enter your locality information into the Shipping Estimate area. You will either see a shipping estimate or a message that no shipping is available to your area (please clear your cart if you decide not to make a purchase).

International Shipping Direct from Designer/Manufacturer
Some manufacturers do not ship internationally. We may be able to have them ship the product to us and then we will ship to you. This applies mostly to smaller items (collars, leads, clothing, ID tags, etc.) but not large items (beds, strollers, etc.). In this case shipping will be calculated as their charge to ship to us plus shipping from us to you.

Other manufacturers will ship directly to you but we must first contact them
(Monday - Friday during business hours) for the shipping rate.

Please ask about international shipping if you see something you like that does not offer shipping outside the USA.
